"The Buzz of a 1,000 Volts!" - Electric
Frankenstein final release on Victory Records. EF take a ride on the
hard rock side of the tracks with this record, produced by Ben Elliot,
who worked on records for Nirvana, Henry Rollins, Keith Richards, Mick
Taylor, Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow, and others.
The album was recorded at the famed Showplace Studios, exclusively on
vintage equipment to give it a 'raw' sound that you can't get using
modern day gear. Elliot and EF even used a Mic pre and EQ (data mix)
from the console at Electric Ladyland
Studios, a unit that was designed solely for the legendary Jimi Hendrix in the early 70's.
There is no denying the rich, full-bodied sound that has been achieved
on "The Buzz Of 1,000 Volts".
This record also features Carl Porcaro
(of KILLING TIME) on lead
guitar, who added a metal tinge to EF's High Energy Punk Rock &
Rolll sound.
"The Buzz of 1,000
Volts" is by far Electric
Frankenstein's pinnacle release. This album has the potential to
change the face of rock music forever. The rock n' roll warriors of Electric Frankenstein won't rest
until the Anti Rock Conspiracy - one that they have spent the better
part of their 10+ year career fighting against - is smashed. EF adds "The Buzz of 1,000 Volts" to their
heavy-duty arsenal. They will be turning the heads and opening the eyes
of punk kids around the world to the vast, and sometimes forgotten,
wonders of good ol' rock n' roll.
Cover art features
the fantastic work of Dirty Donny,
which
he considers one of his best ever.
This
record is sure to be must have by all EF
fans and a great way for new fans to pick up some of the bands best
material! As a bonus, the CD features a cover of "Cocaine Blues", made famous by
Johnny Cash!

“Who is the most important underground rock band
of the last 10 years?” Just ask anyone and you will be greeted with the
same answer: “Electric Frankenstein”. There’s no doubt about it. With
music appearing on over 65 albums, compilations, singles and 7-Inches,
there is no harder working band in Rock ‘N’ Roll today. Electric
Frankenstein is a movement, a working-man’s answer to what is missing
from popular music in the world today; straight-up, raw, in-your-face,
combustible Rock ‘N’ Roll. Electric Frankenstein simply has no equal."

"Wild mix of the Dolls, the MC5, the Stooges, pre Rollins Black Flag
and
a whole lot of 60's garage rock hooks. These guys make it all seem so
easy. The twin guitar sound is as big and thick as a wrestler's neck,
and it's perfectly complemented by singer's WWF approved holler."

"A
bunch of guys from
New Jersey exhume the rotting corpse of rawk'n'roll and, ramming
together
bits and pieces of the best of 60's garage,
Detroit rock and 70's american and australian punk, create the best
sounding creature the world has had the fortune to lay ears upon in the
past ten years. Nobody does it better. New Bomb Turks, Murder City
Devils, Spitfires,
Hellacopters, Oneida, Nomads, Zen Guerrilla, and the combined
rosters
of
Estrus, Get-Hip, SubPop, Empty, Junk, Dyonisus, In The Red, Sympathy
and Bomp! All have to stand aside and pay homage to the Kings of
Rawk!!!
As shocking as anything the Stooges, the Saints and the Scientists ever
did."
